ABOUT THE LIFE DRAWING CLASS: The class is uninstructed although teaching is available when needed. It is open to anyone to come and draw or paint from a model. Just be aware that there is a small fee. Annual membership for LH Art Association is $25. Each session costs $12 for members and $15 for non-members. The instructor usually has the model pose for 5 to 20 minutes (a group decision). A professional unclothed model will be available every Wednesday from 7 to 10 pm. Chairs, stools, tables, easels and drawing boards are provided. You can bring any material you wish except for oil paint or noxious solvents. Photographs are not allowed unless the model says it’s okay. Many models sell sets of photos for artist reference online but some are for free.
ABOUT LEE SMITH (THE INSTRUCTOR): Lee Bordon Smith Art – is a freelance artist. Lee has an MFA with a focus on figure drawing and painting. He is adept at advanced drawing, anatomy and perspective using a variety of mediums. Although he has not taught at the college level, he has taught art for younger artists.
